Value-Based Code of Ethics
Cultivating Black Women for Social Change social research is committed to a set of Ethical Values which will ensure that the research remains directed toward its stated aims and that the welfare of research participants is protected.
Aims of the research:

To explore and document, the personality traits and practical applications that have enabled Black women involved in community development activities in the UK, to successfully navigate personal and professional challenges.

To provide a safe space for Black women involved in community development activities to be able to share their experiences and opinions and raise awareness of the unique experiences faced by Black women.

To develop an evidence-based support programme for Black women engaged in community development activities.
The research findings will be published and promoted as a resource for practitioners, policymakers, funders and others; for the betterment of Black women in community development.

Community development is fundamentally based on the values of human rights, social justice, equality and respect for diversity. Soul Purpose 360 will use reasonable care and exercise independent professional judgment when conducting this social research. Our researchers will act with integrity, competence, diligence, respect and an in ethical manner.
Privacy and confidentiality: This research requires individuals to share their thoughts, attitudes and experiences. Our first obligation is to those women who agree to share their personal testimonies. We are committed to a positive reflection of participants who grace the research with their generous support.
Honestly and integrity: We are committed to giving an open and honest account of what has been said in the interviews and will not fabricate the data in any way. We will be careful with data collection and analysis, and accurate and objective reporting of the research findings.
Accountability, mutual respect, and fairness: We will evaluate and publish the findings with consent from research participants and others, integral to the finished product.
We are open to collaborative work. Trust, loyalty and honesty forms the basis of relationships with other parties.
