BME London Landlords (BMELL) is delighted to announce that we are in exciting discussions with Soul Purpose 360, an award-winning organisation focused on empowering Black women, about joining forces to reach, engage, and uplift Black, Asian, and minoritised women tenants across London.

BMELL is dedicated to driving bold, innovative, and transformative projects that deliver positive outcomes for our residents and their communities. Our vision is to be a pioneering example of successful collaboration among BME-led organisations, continually creating significant and lasting change for BME residents and communities throughout London.

Ben Laryea, Chair of BMELL, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are thoroughly impressed by Soul Purpose 360 as a social enterprise that effectively engages Black women in social housing and creates meaningful impact. With Black women, who are often heads of households, being disproportionately affected by the cost-of-living crisis, rising utility bills, and the everyday realities of racism and sexism, there has never been a more crucial time to prioritise their needs and amplify their voices.”

Founded in 2020 by Palma Black, who has decades of experience in social housing and community development, Soul Purpose 360 is dedicated to supporting women who are facing personal challenges and lack the confidence to make transformative changes in their lives. Palma commented, “Through my extensive experience in social housing, I’ve witnessed how Black women are at the heart of their communities – often serving as informal child carers, youth workers, and more. When you invest in Black women, you invest in the entire community.”

Soul Purpose 360 is the driving force behind the Black Women’s Networking & Empowerment Circle, a dynamic network of women committed to personal and community development. This empowering community brings together women from a variety of disciplines and professional backgrounds who work collaboratively to support one another. The organisation also runs personal development programmes and a growing network of local groups led by dedicated volunteers. To find out more, visit www.soulpurpose360.co.uk.

BMELL and Soul Purpose 360 are envisioning a partnership that will inspire and empower, creating new opportunities for Black, Asian, and minoritised women tenants throughout London. We look forward to sharing more about this exciting journey soon.
